Toys are capable of evoking powerful memories – of childhood, of by-gone eras, of our collective cultural history. In this Community Gallery exhibition, local artists celebrate the fun and nostalgia of toys in a variety of mediums, from 3-D to installation work.

This is Womencenter’s national annual women’s juried art show. Here’s a quote from juror Margi Weir about this year’s exhibit; “One of the most enjoyable aspects of looking at art is when the beautifully crafted object pulls the viewer to it and slowly reveals layers of the artists’ meaning and emotion. In that sense, this exhibition is enjoyable indeed. I congratulate all these artists for their fine artistic endeavors.”
